I had the pleasure of photographing another gorgeous blue eyed beauty in the studio with this session. This pretty little girl was just short of two months old during her photography session and her smile was just beginning to emerge – and what a sweet little grin it was.
Just a quick post to say I’m headed out of town and will be back in the office on Monday October 28, 2012. I will be returning all inquiries and emails at that time. I have extremely limited availability until December. Many thanks for your patience and have a magical week!
Cute & sweet sums up this newborn photography session perfectly! When older siblings are involved, I absolutely encourage newborn sessions to take place on location. There is something about being on home turf that makes things go so much more smoothly for the big kid! This blog post features a few images that outlines our session in some ways. I get everything set up, start with the infant and will then add in the big kid. Wash-rinse-repeat. Oh and make sure you get some of the big kid all by himself. And when the big brother is this cute, there was no way this photographer could forget! Once we get a few different shots of the siblings together, the older child can go play while I finish up photographing the baby. Everyone is happy and we get some stunning keepsake portraits!

This baby girl was one of the sleepiest newborns I’ve had in a while! She was such a sweet little snuggler and had so many cute little facial expressions. I always bring a good variety of props, blankets and accessories when photographing on location, but I try to do something to make the images even more personal. The parents of this gorgeous baby girl have an incredible sense of style and when I saw that blue chair, I was hoping they’d let me use it for a few shots. Thankfully, I had a diaper cover from Sherbet Baby on Etsy that worked perfectly!
Love all of these. She’s just precious on the blue chair. But that second image, with her sweet hands tucked in by her face, ♥♥♥ amazing.

I always encourage potential clients to contact me early – and it sounds crazy, but it is best to contact me BEFORE the baby is born. My schedule fills up fast and I prefer to photograph newborn babies within the first two weeks of life. What I normally do, is hold a spot on my calendar 1 week after a client’s due date. That way I am able to keep a little bit of wiggle room in my schedule because we all know babies rarely come on their due date.
