About Gail

I am an upstate New York girl – born in Poughkeepsie, raised in Rochester and Syracuse University graduate.  My nursing career (Labor & Delivery) is what brought me to Maryland.  My loving and supportive husband is what is keeping me here. Thanks to him, we have a beautiful son who constantly amazes me.  He has been my inspiration for my photography journey.

I’ve always been a shutterbug!  It all started as a toddler with a Fisher Price camera – it didn’t even take “real” pics, but I found the entire concept was fascinating!  I took classes in high school, worked with the photography department in college and became an avid scrapbooker.  It was after the birth of my son, I was truly inspired to learn the art of photography.

I have so much fun with my camera – portraits, births, baptisms, parties, birthdays, anniversary parties and even weddings!  I enjoy the challenge of photographing everything, but have found my niche with maternity, newborns, babies, children and families.  I believe my maternal-child nursing background helps me tremendously when working with newborns and families.

Babies are precious, tiny little miracles and I want to capture all the details.  I love watching them grow up in front of my lens.  I know they grow too quickly.  I enjoy the loving interactions between family members.  Big brothers and sisters welcoming their sweet little siblings, mothers nestling their children close, the pride in daddy’s eyes as he wraps his arms around his loved ones.  I want to make the precious moments of today last a lifetime.
